What a month actually looks like.
Five stages. Three of them are yours and come to about three hours in total. The other two happen while you are somewhere else entirely.
The morning is set
You take a Monday or a Tuesday, eight until eleven, and it is held for you every month from then on. Nothing to rebook and nothing to negotiate twice.
Yours — about two minutes
Scripts land, forty-eight hours ahead
Written and ready to read. They become a shot list and a running order, so the session moves without anybody thinking on the clock. Send topics instead and I write all twenty.
Yours — one evening, once
Three hours in the chair
The room is lit and miked before you arrive. You sit down and talk; somebody tells you when a take landed and when to go again. Everything for the month is captured in that one sitting.
Yours — three hours
Cut, captioned, coloured, exported
Twenty edits. Captions burned in so nothing breaks when a platform strips them, audio levelled, three aspect sizes out, and every file numbered and named before it goes anywhere.
Mine — none of your time
The folder arrives
Ten inside seven days and the remaining ten inside fourteen, in the order they were shot. Two rounds of changes after that — say what you want different and it gets changed.
